Looking for HIS378 course reader!
Hi, just wondering if anyone here took this course ( HIS378: America in the 1960's with Prof. Beaton) or know someone who did over the summer or last year and still have their course reader. Apparently the price for it went way up this year due to copyright, etc. and if you still have it I'd be happy to purchase it from you (or photocopy it if you want to keep it). Please contact me at cruel_disorder at hotmail dot com or PM me! Thanks! :) |

I need to drop some courses, but doing so will make me a part-time student. So do I just drop it on ROSI and then that's that, I'm now part-time? Or do I need to go to my registrar? And just to be clear, full-time is 3 credits, not 3 courses..right? Thanks! |

Course not listed under My Courses?
I'm enrolled in PHL217 on ROSI, but I can't see it under My Courses on Blackboard, and I can't seem to access it otherwise. Does anyone know whether it's been activated by the professor yet, and if so, whom do I contact to be added on Portal? |

jobs for students
I'm a full time student in need of a job. Are there any telemarketing companies with really flexible hours, like one or two days a week of your choosing? Any other recommendations? |

AP tests
so this is sorta a dumb question, but it's regarding AP tests. for all you americans, on the u of t website it says 3 AP tests in 3 different fields are required. i will be taking four ap tests in the spring (ap psych, ap american gov, ap french, and ap art history) but these are only in two different areas, social studies and foreign language. will i be alright? i've taken other ap courses but not the tests and those were also in the social studies realm. i'm applying to humanities, south asian studies specifically, so do you think i'll still be eligible for admission? merci beaucoup :D |

Graduation
Hey folks, happy winter term. I'm graduating this year (woo!) and I want to clarify some stuff about graduation. I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet from my college confirming my request to graduate. I assume it's early yet, but is this normal at this point, or should I be contacting my registrar to follow up? Also, I double majored, and got exemptions/substitutions for a couple of classes in both of my majors. Does my college check out if I meet the requirements to graduate, and will the departments have that on record, or is that something I need to report directly to my college? Also, anyone from Woodsworth heard about grad photos yet? Thanks! |

Continuing Ed French
Hello all, I was thinking of taking some French classes in the Continuing Education department. I read some descriptions for Levels II and III and since I was in extended French until university, I peg myself as Level III. Does this sound accurate? Has anyone taken these classes? Did you like them? Information about the profs, Jacqueline Rawdah and Lucien Benacem, would be helpful as well. Thanks! |

Dropping Courses
If you can't drop a course on ROSI, do you have to talk to the Prof in order to do so, or can you just simply go to your registrar? |

Grades Up Yet?
I apologize if this has been asked/answered recently, or if this is just common knowledge now or something. Anyone not have their grades up on rosi yet? Is there anything about paying fees entirely before receiving marks? ... It's been awhile is all I'm saying... Thanks |

Total failure!
Sooooooo. I failed most of my classes last year. And I withdrew (or at least i thought I did, I didn't register last term and the website told me that was pretty much it), but now that I've figured my shit out somewhat I'm kind of wishing I hadn't bailed. The website is completely unhelpful on this site. It's still letting me on ROSI (but telling me I can't enrol, no surprises there), is there a way I can get back in or do I have to reapply from scratch? I can't call my registrar 'til after Christmas and you guys are way more straightforward anyway. |

Appeals
Has anyone tried to appeal for a final grade? I wrote two finals and I'm pretty sure I screwed up both pretty badly. My father passed away suddenly in another country so I had to fly there and miss three weeks of school in October-November. I thought I'd be able to catch up but I underestimated the workload. My father's death was VERY sudden and I'm still getting over the shock, so I was in no state to study but I tried my best... and still I screwed up. I did think of deferring my exams but I have already deferred one before due to an illness. That was a very long, bitchy (pardon the language) process. Besides... what would have happened if I didn't show up for the exams and my petitions were declined? So... being granted a chance to re-take the two courses, or have my marks somehow raised, is my only hope. I'm in desperate need of decent marks for grad school. Thanks in advance. |
